The Government Chamber of the Supreme Court has today requested the Minister of Justice, Pilar Llop , to adopt urgent measures to guarantee the functioning of the high court in the face of the material and personnel needs that this body has had for many years and the situation created due to the impossibility of the General Council of the Judiciary in extending its mandate to make appointments after the entry into force of Organic Law 4/2021 . At the meeting, chaired by the president of the TS and the CGPJ, Carlos Lesmes, the Government Chamber expressed its concern about the non-renewal of the Council, but stressed that there are other levels of concern of extraordinary importance, unrelated to this situation, that are continuing over time.
